Tesoros de Oriente - La Lonja
This exhibition includes an important number of Japanese woodblock prints and showcases the exceptional collection of Asian art from the Museum of Zaragoza. The exhibition presents a journey through the artistic and cultural richness of various Eastern traditions.
Six Key Collections
The exhibition is based on six key collections: the Colección Torralba, the Fundación Torralba-Fortún, the Colección Tanzan y Kentaro Kotoge, the Colección Reijinsha, the Colección Pasamar-Onila, and the Colección Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez. Through these collections, visitors can discover artistic manifestations from Japan, China, and other Asian countries.
Diverse Art Forms
The exhibition encompasses a wide range of artistic expressions, from painting and ceramics to sculpture and textile art. Of particular interest to mokuhanga enthusiasts are the significant number of Japanese woodblock prints that form part of this comprehensive display.
Educational Component
To complete the experience, the exhibition features a didactic space where visitors can learn in detail about fundamental techniques in Asian art: Japanese xylography (woodblock printing), urushi lacquer, and ceramics. Through demonstrations and explanatory materials, visitors can understand the creative processes behind some of the most emblematic pieces of these artistic traditions.

Located in La Lonja de Zaragoza, this Renaissance municipal building provides an incomparable setting for contemplating these pieces, creating a dialogue between Asian art and the cultural heritage of the city.
